Blackwell & King is Giving Back!

We are so excited that our 2012 Jump Start to Giving Back was such a great success!  Thanks to the help of our Facebook fans and LinkedIn connections, we were able to donate to several of our favorite charities!!  I LOVE Giving Back to these wonderful charities!!

Giving Back at the ACVS Symposium!

We had such a great time at the ACVS Symposium in Chicago!!  And thanks to everyone who registered for our iPad2 via e-mail, linkedin, or in person at our exhibit booth, Blackwell & King was able to donate $500 to Chase Away K9 Cancer!  Cera Reusser was excited to receive our donation for her foundation.  Chase Away K9 Cancer raises awareness and funds for research of K9 Cancer.  What a great cause!!  Thanks Cera!

And a Technician from Oregon was the lucky winner of our iPad2! She was thrilled when I called to tell her she won! So happy to be helping Techs now!

Giving Back at IVECCS!

Dee Pawlisch, Angie Blackwell, Dr. William Smith, and Karen Bostick during the Big Check Presentation

Whew!!  Things have been so busy at Blackwell & King’s headquarters post IVECCS!!  We had so much fun in “Music City” and created so much buzz for Blackwell & King that our phones have been ringing off the hook and our e-mails keep “dinging—you’ve got mail.”  It is awesome—and we love it!!  We are still trying to follow-up with everybody that we promised we would reach out to—so if you haven’t heard from us yet—YOU WILL!!  Feel free to go ahead and pick up the phone and give us a call—we would LOVE to hear from YOU!!

While at IVECCS we continued to celebrate our year of “giving back”….AND….(drum-roll please)…. were able to make a “big check” donation of $1,000.00 to the VECC Foundation with the help of all the attendees!!  We would like to give a big “Thank You” to everyone for helping us “Give Back” to such a phenomenal cause!!  We also gave away a Kindle while in Nashville and want to give a big shout out to Dr. Stephanie Torfin, an emergency veterinarian from Minnesota—Congratulations Dr. Torfin—we hope you enjoy the Kindle!!

Giving Back at the ACVIM Forum!

Big Check Presentation at the ACVIM Forum

For those of you that made it to the ACVIM Forum and stopped by our booth thank you for taking the time to participate in our “Going Viral & Giving Back” Campaign.  A very excited vet student from Cornell won the drawing for the ipad and is also Pfizer Animal Health Veterinary Scholarship Winner through another one of our favorite charities, the AVMF!

We are also very excited to announce that we were able to make a donation of $1,500 to the ACVIM Foundation as a result of our “Going Viral and Giving Back” campaign.  It felt so good to be able to “Give Back”— You can tell from the picture of our “Big Check” presentation to the ACVIM Foundation how happy we were to make the donation and how happy they were to receive it!!!

I am so excited to help raise funds for the American Humane Association! They do incredible work– such as all of the disaster relief currently being done in TN from the flooding of the Mississippi River. I also love the scholarly work they do with animal behavior and the human-animal bond– such as the KIDS program that I had the honor to help pilot! Go American Humane!!
